The patented process:

A Curbside Management System for dynamically managing curbside docking of all uses
  • Integrates at least a navigation component, an asset verification component, and a curbside management component configured to generate available curbside access destinations for docking the vehicle associated with the one or more customers

  • Communicates with one or more customers via the wireless communication system for selection of one of the available curbside access destinations

Navigation Component
  • Generates a route to the final curbside destination from the current location of the vehicle

  • Non-autonomous vehicle: the customer communicates with Curbwize via a smart phone or computer for direction to the final curbside destination

  • Autonomous vehicle: the autonomous vehicle communicates with Curbwize for direction to the final curbside destination

  • Customer requests destination & an estimated docking dwell time

  • Prioritization based on owner preferences for safety, accessibility, modal priority, vehicle type, demand and peak use, disabled occupant, and number of occupants.

  • Curbwize possesses a financial component for dynamic pricing, equitable access, special needs discounts, and penalties for violations based on incentives and disincentive policies set by owner

  • System communicates with municipal emergency response, municipal services, and transit providers, enables top priority access to clear targeted docking space
